Disolab

Disolab main screen

A website for the Disolab laboratory wired straight into Odoo: a catalogue synced from the ERP, a quote builder connected to the CRM and automated quoting — from web request to finished document in under five minutes.

01The challenge

Quoting in five minutes, not five days.

Disolab already ran Odoo as its ERP, with its catalogue, its stock and its CRM, but no outside customer could reach any of it. Quoting was a manual process that depended on someone answering an email.

The goal was a site that talked directly to Odoo: products coming from the ERP, requests landing as leads in the CRM, and a single click generating the pre-filled quote.

03The integration

From the web to Odoo, end to end.

The hard part wasn't the site, it was the bridge to Odoo. Products are queried against the ERP in real time, so they are always current with no manual work.

The automated flow was the most valuable piece: the customer picks products, a lead is created in the CRM and, with one click on "new quote", Odoo generates the pre-filled document. From the web to the document in under five minutes.

Synced catalogue

Products are pulled from Odoo through its API. Any change in the ERP shows up on the site automatically.

From quote builder to CRM

The visitor picks products and sends the request. A lead is created in Odoo's CRM with the products and the customer's details.

Automatic quote

From the lead, one click on "new quote" generates the pre-filled document with the requested products, ready to review and send.

Custom sections

Solutions, services, products, about and promotions: the lab's whole editorial structure with a consistent design.

05What I learned

Integrating a site with an ERP means learning the business.

Automating the quote wasn't a technical matter: it was translating Disolab's sales process into software logic. That is what separates an integration from a plain connection.
