PrestaSalones

PrestaSalones main screen

A room and lab booking system for the Universidad de Colima's Telematics Faculty — real-time availability, time-slot scheduling and role-based authentication.

01The problem

Booking a room shouldn't be an email.

At the Telematics Faculty, rooms and labs were requested informally: no visibility of availability, no central record, no history. The result was double bookings, empty rooms held for nobody, and teachers with no certainty the space would be free.

The problem wasn't logistics, it was information.

02The product

Availability at a glance.

03Design decisions

Fewer steps, more clarity.

Every screen answers a single question: what's free, when, and what did I book. Anything that didn't help answer them stayed out.

Booking in three steps

Pick the space, choose date and time, confirm. No emails, no middlemen.

My bookings

Everyone can check their history and cancel upcoming bookings from their profile.

Availability as a visual state

The room view shows which time slots are free. No ambiguity.

04Outcome

A problem solved and shipped.

The app is in production on Vercel. The whole cycle — design, frontend, backend, authentication and deployment — solved in a single project.
